We understand the concern regarding COVID-19 and respect decisions that each patient will need to make independently. Here is what we are doing to continue to service our patients to the best of our abilities while limiting interactions as much as possible.

We are limiting the amount of contact you will have with other people in a few ways. First, Dr. Guthrie is the only person with whom you will interact while in the office. Second, we are trying to schedule our patient’s appointments apart to limit interactions with others and to allow ample time for cleaning and disinfecting the office between each patient. We are also wearing gloves and masks and are asking patients to wear masks as well. We are asking that you bring your own mask, however, we have some available if you do not have one. We will supply gloves, upon request, if you do not have your own.  We are also asking all the necessary questions regarding your health and will take your temperature upon entering the office.

We realize that hearing is a vital part of staying connected and informed during everyday life, but especially during emergency situations such as this. It is important that individuals with hearing loss stayed informed of the current situation via their preferred media outlets, as well as stay connected
with family and friends during such an isolating time. Our office will be re-evaluating the situation on a weekly basis. We are currently offering a Hearing Hotline, where anyone with hearing loss in the Chattanooga and surrounding areas can call to receive any type of assistance they may need. The number for the Hearing Hotline is
423-541-5394. If you need any sort of assistance with your current hearing devices or hearing loss needs, call this number and we will figure out a way to help you while limiting social interaction and contact with other individuals.

We are offering curbside assistance, during an individually scheduled time frame, for any hearing aid repairs. If you have hearing aids that need to be sent out for a repair, we are offering delivery to your home upon request.

Some of the benefits of new hearing aid technology is the ability to offer remote programming, literally eliminating the need to come to the office for adjustments. Even if your hearing aids are around 3 years old, your devices may have the capabilities to be programmed remotely. This technology has been around for several years now, however, most patients do not even know that their hearing aids have this capability. CALL THE HEARING HOTLINE AT
423-541-5394 TO FIND OUT WHETHER YOUR HEARING AIDS HAVE THIS TYPE OF TECHNOLOGY ALREADY OR IF YOU ARE READY TO UPGRADE.
